Welcome to Balby Carr Community Sports and Science College

Committed to Excellence

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to Balby Carr Community Sports and Science College. We see educating young people as a partnership between home and school, with everyone working towards the same goal of delivering the best possible education for every pupil. We value all children equally and we promise to do our utmost to develop every child as much as we can. Every child has always Mattered at Balby Carr. Our aim is to help all pupils evolve into positive, successful, well-balanced and caring young adults. The College is fully focused on developing the academic and creative potential of pupils to enable them to succeed in the wider world.

The school has been redesignated as a Specialist Sports & Science College; this is a welcome and well-deserved recognition of our College’s vision and drive to provide the best possible education for all our learners and the Community; it also ensures there are many opportunities for our pupils to succeed in all areas of College life. Our highly-qualified and committed staff encourage high standards in everything we do, in our well ordered and caring environment.

In all our actions we place the best interests of all our students first.

Our Vision as a Specialist Sports and Science College is to use the ethos of sport to develop and prepare our young people to lead fulfilling lives in their future world of work and leisure. We will continue to provide them with the opportunities to achieve their personal goals and experience success, and continue to celebrate all successes whether this is academic, in the Arts or through Sport. Our redesignation will continue to allow Balby Carr students to contribute to their own futures as skilled members of Tomorrow’s society.

“One of our core values has always been to create a community in which lifelong learning for all is valued and ‘Being your Best’ is rewarded and provides ‘Success for All’.”
